As we continue to invest heavily in making our article rewriting tool the best online, I’ll periodically share some rewrites from wordbot. I’ll always put these in our Rewrite Series category on this blog. Some of the rewrites will be high quality, others will show we have a lot of work to do. We’re definitely still in the very early stages of designing and improving the tool, with us spending much of our time processing content and checking the results. Let’s take a look at one of our recent tests.

A Rewriter Using World Class AI Prompts

The artificial intelligence engine is at the core of any high quality article rewriter tool. We use GPT-3 which is the latest, greatest engine in existence. In addition to the engine, we must design things called prompts that are used to instruct the engine what to do. Much of our time is spent on designing, tweaking, and improving these prompts so the GPT-3 engine returns the highest quality rewrites. The below characteristics are what makes a sentence rewrite high quality.

Takeaways

This was a good, high quality rewrite, but not that much different that the original. Below are the takeaways I got from processing this paragraph.

  • While stepping through the sentence rewriter in wordbot, I had to skip a few sentences because wordbot’s suggestions didn’t make sense. This is why we have some identical sentences in the rewritten text and the original. This is a problem – we always want wordbot to make at least three good rewrite suggestions per sentence.

  • I only ran the paragraph through the rewriter tool a single time. If I were truly rewriting this article for posting online, I would have probably ran it through the rewriter a few more times, probably even highlighting and rewriting specific sentences (you can do that in wordbot). I also would have manual edited the content, but for this specific test I wanted to only test the quality of the first rewrite.
